For many years this was the Louisiana Office of Women's Services
(Displaced Homemakers). Due to cuts in the state budget, the entire
Office of Women's Services is being dismantled. The entire space becomes
available on June 30, 2002. Of all the office space that is available
on this site, this facility is clearly the most prestine and professional
in appearance. It has an ample entrance / waiting room area,
conference room, two offices, lunch room, two bathrooms (with handicapped
access), available parking front and rear, dark oak paneling throughout.

This nearly 3,500 square foot facility
for years has been the home
to the Louisiana Office of Women's Services for Lake Charles.
The Louisiana legislature cut funding for the Women's Services
program, so they are closing their doors on June 30th (2002)
and the space will be available for lease.
For many, this address is a historic part of Lake Charles.
Situated on the northwest corner of Hodges and Scott Street,
for many years 2128 Hodges was better known as Day's Cafe -
a great place to have breakfast, or just grab a cup of coffee.
It closed in the late 80's and saw two more tenants before
being picked up by the State of Lousiana in 1992.
These offices are in superb shape. They contain
meeting areas, classrooms, and private offices;
central air, ample marked
